Installed LED blinkers and they stay lit

I put a pair of LED blinkers up front, now all the blinkers stay lit. What did I do wrong? I've done this so many times in the past and its probably something so simple. The rear blinkers are bulbs if that matters.

Er wait, I probably just need a resistor. If anyone knows, what resistor works best?

you did nothing wrong, just missed a step. Go to NAPA, PEP boys, Canadian Tire or any generic auto parts store. Get a $3 two prong flasher and install in place of the stock one. DO NOT use resistors, waste of time, and money...and they get hot.
This just has to do with the stock bulbs-LED change. I'm not a mechanic or electrician but this is the cheapest, easiest and safest way to do it.

resistors are used to slow down blinking (if you bought something ready to install)

for your problem..does the leds you bought are plug and play or you built something with the stock light? you should try to find the electrical diagram of your bike and see if you missed something. (like a wire in the wrong place or a relay not working)

If all of them stay lit despite where you have the turn signal switch flipped you may have hooked them up using the running lights wire. My Z has 3 wires for every turn signal. The turn signal wire, running light, and ground.

Ya Evil, if you have an 07+, just two wires. I recently added LED to the front. Stock front and back signals are different.(resistors built in etc...)
Trust me, I went through this already for a month trying to figure it out. Just go get a generic flasher. The relay you are changing is under the back seat on the right side of the bike by itself.

Yep. Less than $3 for some off brand thermal flasher. Plugged in. Alot easier than wiring up resistors and dealing with the heat they make. The guy there told me to get a relay and tried to explain all this fancy wiring setup to fix my problem. Said that the flasher wouldn't fix the problem. Got me all confused. Re-checked this thread went back got the part and bam. Back in business.
